Maroon is a subliminally honest song. It tells the story of being in this constant state of over-exerting oneself; giving too much away to people who never asked.
This song has been in the works for a year now in collaboration with Swedish-Canadian singer-songwriter and producer Sarah MacDougall and the project has also received funding from FACTOR Canada as well as The National Arts Centre of Canada.
Maroon is the first single to be released from Ariana’s upcoming 4 track EP that has been set to release December of 2022.
“This song came to be after I wrote it for one of my classes at Western. I was lucky enough for my prof to have a partner involved in the Canadian Music Industry who heard Maroon and immediately wanted to work together. Sarah MacDougall has been a mentor through all of this and I think working with her will be the start to something so great.”
