Brenda Brown EP merits HMA Nomination for Jazz Recording of the Year

Appearing  at Hamilton Music Festival show at Gasworks on May 22. Additional outdoor festival shows in Caledonia, Hamilton Waterfront Stage and Dundas Cactus Festival.

May 2015 — Hamilton, Ontario
After three exciting years of public and private performances in and around Hamilton, Brenda Brown was determined to record with some of her favourite musicians.
She collaborated with well-known multi-instrumentalist Ross Wooldridge (piano, woodwinds), Carl Jennings (recording engineer), and corralled active GTA session sidemen Chris Banks (bass), and Glenn Anderson (drums) to create her Debut EP “Brenda Brown.”
“Brenda’s voice is mesmerizing…” M.K.
“Relaxing, smooth, bluesy, mystical…” G. H.
This EP is a tantalizing tribute to great songs. The performances are chosen from Brenda’s eclectic and inspiring portfolio. The EP reaches out in many stylistic directions — the North American Songbook, Adult Contemporary, Classic Country, and an original composition penned by daughter Olivia.
